ButtonPurposeuint16
DescriptionstringThe ButtonPurpose property identifies or defines the use of the button represented by the instance. If the type is set to "Other", then the OtherButtonPurpose property can be used to further identify the purpose. Descriptions of the different Button purposes are as follows: A Power Button changes the power state of a device. A reset button is used to reset the state of a device. Undock is used to undock or disconnect a device or entire system from a separate device or system. An Open/Close button is used on a device that has an object that usually moves such as a drawer, door, or tray.

ButtonActionMappingstring[]
ArrayTypestringIndexed
DescriptionstringButtonActionMapping shall identify the action that occurs if the ButtonState transitions to the value specified in the corresponding array index of the ButtonStateMapping property. Each value shall be formatted using the following algorithm: [OrgID]:[LocalID] Where [OrgID] and [LocalID] are separated by a colon (:), and where [OrgID] shall include a copyrighted, trademarked, or otherwise unique name that is owned by the business entity that is creating or defining the string value or that is a registered ID assigned to the business entity by a recognized global authority. [OrgID] shall not contain a colon (:). [LocalID] is chosen by the business entity and shall not be reused to identify different underlying (real-world) elements. For DMTF defined values, [OrgID] shall be "DMTF". If ButtonPurpose contains the value 2 "Power", ButtonActionMapping shall contain one of the following values: "DMTF:PowerOn" - A transition to the state will result in a request to power on the associated element. "DMTF:PowerOff" - A transition to the state will result in a request to power off the associated element. "DMTF:PowerChange" - A transition to the state will result in a request to change the power state of the associated element. If ButtonPurpose contains the value 3 "Reset", ButtonActionMapping shall contain one of the following values: "DMTF:Reset" - A transition to the state will result in a request to reset the associated element. If ButtonPurpose contains the value 4 "Undock", ButtonActionMapping shall contain one of the following values: "DMTF:Undock" - A transition to the state will result in a request to undock the associated element. If ButtonPurpose contains the value 5 "OpenClose", ButtonActionMapping shall contain one of the following values: "DMTF:OpenCloseChange" - A transition to the state will result in a request to open or close the associated element as appropriate. That is, an open element will be closed, and a closed element will be opened. "DMTF:OpenCloseOpen" - A transition to the state will result in a request to open the associated element. "DMTF:OpenCloseClose" - A transition to the state will result in a request to close the associated element.
